Wizards Heading to Top 4 Round Sunday, May 17th , 2054 The Buchanan HS Wizards are riding high after winning the Top 8 Round and eliminating the Shelby HS Rockets by a series score of 3-1. The final blow came tonight at Lincolnville HS Fields, when Buchanan HS secured its spot in the Top 4 Round with a 4-3 victory. "It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said second baseman Julián Lucero, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance." Lucero certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .333 with a .333 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Buchanan HS Wizards don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Santa Fe HS Chiefs - Newport News HS Paints series. Newport News HS leads the series 2 games to 1.
