Star of the Week Awarded in HSNL Monday, April 22nd, 2041 18-year-old Matt West made a few Buchanan HS headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and High School NL officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 15 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .600 average. West collected 1 home run, 9 RBIs and scored 7 runs. West is currently hitting at a .426 pace with 4 home runs and 25 RBIs. |
