Bishop Verot HS Blanks Coyotes, Taylor at His Best Wednesday, April 29th, 2037 Bruce Taylor kept the Maize HS Coyotes hitters from doing any damage at Ballpark of Ottumwa HS today. Maize HS could only muster 3 hits and take 1 walk against the right-handed Taylor, who controlled them throughout the game as Bishop Verot HS took the contest, 8-0. Taylor added 10 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Taylor told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." This season Taylor has crafted a 1-2 mark with a 3.09 ERA in 43.2 innings.
