Anderson Wins HSCL Player of the Week Trophy Monday, May 2nd, 2039 18-year-old John Anderson made a few Montgomery HS headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and High School CL officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .583 average. Anderson collected 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 8 runs. Anderson is hitting .348 this year with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 31 hits in 89 at-bats, 14 walks and a .453 on-base percentage. Anderson has played in 27 games. |
