Orlando Romero Sidelined for Season
Tuesday, July 19th, 2039
The doctors have spoken and Orlando Romero of the Fort Collins Commoners didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Romero sustained his season-ending injury during the Quincy Doughboys game yesterday at Ballpark of Sunrise Manor. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Fort Collins medical staff reported Romero had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months.
In 1 starts this season Romero has fashioned a 1-2 record and a 12.32 ERA.
