Medina on Fire: Burns Birmingham with 3 HR Thursday, July 20th , 2051 Juan Medina was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 18-7 Watertown Headhunters triumph at Headhunters Ballpark today. The 21-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Headhunters past the Birmingham Bulls. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Medina told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The first baseman went 3-for-3, rung up 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Juan Medina hit a three-run home run off Brian Gordon in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off José Murillo in the 4th and hit a three-run home run off Juan Santos in the 5th. So far this year Medina is batting .262 with 21 home runs. |
