Saturday, October 7th , 2051
He may have less experience than most of his Reserves League peers, but that didn't slow David Rincón down at all in 2051.
At the age of 22, the Tuscaloosa first baseman has been named the winner of the International League Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .362 batting average and a .426 on-base percentage this year. In 136 games he piled up 192 hits, 23 doubles, 2 triples, 63 home runs, 134 RBIs and 133 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Firuz Djidjishvili of the Louisville Bats finished second in voting, while Tom Maloney of the Tuscaloosa Trout Slayers finished third.
