The London Rippers got a superb performance from pitcher Jaime Rodríguez, but the Seattle Admirals still won the game, 5-4. Rodríguez threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Willis Strovecky got credit for the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The triumph puts Seattle at 51-40 for the season.
Gunnar Boggs, who is tied for 4th in the BSA in home runs with 33, helped out the Seattle cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the left fielder went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Seattle manager Pedro Faboila.
