Maui Rallies for 11-9 Victory
Despite a great performance by Mexico City third baseman Wilson Flores, the Maui Wave defeated the Luchadores by the score of 11-9 at Eagles Park. Flores was 3 for 5 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Reliever Louie Vroom picked up the win. His record improves to 4-0. David García took the loss. With the win, the Wave sit at 67-44.

Maui used the clutch hitting of Andrés Mateo to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wave ahead, 9-8. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

In postgame comments to the Maui Daily, Mateo said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
