The Boston Rebels picked up a win at Crown Royal Stadium, dropping the St. Charles Sheens, 5-3. Sam Blackstone, the 15th overall pick in the 2050 draft, was the difference-maker. The winner was Blackstone. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Jeremy Gottfried. Pat Key got credit for the save for Boston. It was his 10th of the year.

Boston used the hitting of Ed Nipper to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rebels on top, 3-2. For the game, Nipper had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Sam gave us a heck of an effort," said Boston manager Juan Vázquez.

The Rebels go to 49-71 with the win.
