Rainbow Stadium was the site for Baseball Stars Association action featuring the Maui Wave and Boston Rebels.
The Rebels grabbed a win, 5-2, at Rainbow Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Maui pitcher Eliot Hines. Hines went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. With the win, Boston has a record of 54-77. Maui falls to 78-53.
Boston used a clutch hit from Jordan Martin to get the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rebels ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Boston manager Juan Vázquez. "It's usually not just one thing."
