Panthers Need Extra Innings to Top Luchadores, 4-2
Vista pitcher Bernard McCord did his part in helping his team beat the Mexico City Luchadores, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. John Donnelly came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 4-6. Picking up his 3rd save was 30-year old right-handed pitcher Eric Sullivan.

Vista used the timely hitting of Rory McCarthy to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Panthers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

McCord attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."

Vista raised its record to 68-65 with the win.
