Wave Win 4-3 Walk-Off
|
Lubbock first baseman Alfonso Tobías had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Tobías went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2, even as Maui beat the Green Sox, 4-3. The second-place Wave are 82-54.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the 14th for Maui. That's when Anthony Tucker hit a solo home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Orlando Vera to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"I still think this team can play even better," Tucker told the Maui Daily.
