The Orlando Calrissian faced a tough opponent in London pitcher Jaime Rodríguez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Old Comiskey Park by a final score of 3-2. Rodríguez went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Jorge Denoco, credited with the save, is now 17 for 18 in save opportunities. Orlando is 6th in the Fire Division with a record of 27-33.
Orlando needed the clutch hitting of George Roberts to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Calrissian on top, 3-2. For the game, Roberts had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
After the game, Orlando manager Domingo Matos applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
