Great Week for Cleveland's Cory King Monday, August 23rd , 2055 23-year-old Cory King sent shock waves through Baseball Stars Association last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Baseball Stars Association Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, King made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .500 average, 13 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBI. Where the Cleveland Fire left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but King certainly made his mark last week. Thus far this season in 49 games, King is batting .293 with 10 home runs, 26 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 48 hits in 164 at-bats. |
