Recovery Slow for Panthers Mototsune Tamura Saturday, September 4th , 2055 All is not well with Mototsune Tamura in his recovery from hamstring tendinitis. The 33-year-old Panthers center fielder has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Tamura and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday. "Yesterday he was feeling good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it." A post-workout examination revealed that Tamura had re-injured himself and would now miss at least 2 weeks because of it. This season in 115 games, Tamura is batting .283 with 26 home runs, 95 RBIs and has scored 66 times. |
