Bethany Beach third baseman Lorne McLean thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Bethany Beach to a win, 14-5, over Nashua. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," McLean said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." McLean was 3-for-3 on the day with 6 RBI. Lorne McLean hit a three-run home run off Max Pitzer in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Hermengildo Anuncivais in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Hermengildo Anuncivais in the 5th and walked in the 6th. At present, McLean is batting .308 and has collected 14 home runs, 34 RBIs, .440 OBP and scored 32 runs. |
