6-for-7 Day for Peck Sunday, May 30th , 2055 It was a parade of hits for Wes Peck of the Bishop Verot HS Mudcats at Havoc Stadium. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Peck finished the day with a total of 6 hits in 7 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Mudcats to a win, 23-8. "Peck was really good and we were really bad," groaned Rockets manager Artie Byrne. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Wes Peck singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Bob Dudley in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Giancarlo Torriti in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Dave Hutchinson in the 9th.
