RubberDucks Topple Calrissian, 6-1
|
Charleston Ballpark was the site for Baseball Stars Association action featuring the Orlando Calrissian and Charleston RubberDucks.
The Charleston RubberDucks beat the Orlando Calrissian by a score of 6-1. Charleston left fielder Lee Sharpe deserved the lion's share of the credit. Sharpe went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk for the RubberDucks. Luis Coronado recorded the save for Charleston, his 3rd of the season.
Adam Arbuckle had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Charleston. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Charleston in front, 3-1.
"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Arbuckle. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
The win for the RubberDucks lifted their record to 39-35.
