Golden Bears LF Kelley Gets the Cycle
Ron Kelley accomplished one of the rarer feats in baseball when he hit for the cycle against the Maryland Terrapins in the 9-7 California Golden Bears win at Evans Diamond.

Afterward, Kelley acknowledged that his accomplishment was special, but said he was more interested in helping the Golden Bears win.

"Maybe one day I'll look back on this with more meaning, but right now I just want to go out tomorrow and put some good swings on the ball and help my club win another game," Kelley said.

On his historic day, he went 4-for-5 with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored -- and also got a spot in the history books.

Ron Kelley flied out in the 1st, tripled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Cliff McMullan in the 10th.

This season, Kelley has hit 8 home runs and posted a .338 batting average.
