Knights Get One-Run Win at San Francisco
|
The New York Knights picked up a win at Seals Stadium, knocking off the San Francisco Seals, 4-3. On the mound for New York was right-hander Theron Koch, who played a pivotal role in the win. Koch went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 5-9. Dylan Newell, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 17th save.
Júlio Árias, the 28-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Árias contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the eighth inning to put New York up, 4-0.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said San Francisco manager Kenny Stevens.
The Knights raised their record to 29-48.
