Badger Goes 5-for-5
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Parker Badger, it came around today.

The 19-year-old center fielder scattered hits all over Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field to pace the 16-2 Miami Hurricanes victory over the Villanova Wildcats.

Villanova skipper Stan Bates told reporters in the press room that "Badger deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Badger hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Parker Badger singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Bill Delaney in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Brent Moore in the 6th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

Thus far in 2054, Badger is hitting .409 with 9 home runs, 33 RBIs, 32 runs scored and has compiled a .490 OBP.
