Dallas pitcher Víctor Sánchez did his part in helping his team beat the Cozumel Reef Divers, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Sánchez got the win, improving to 5-5. He allowed 2 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. Sánchez allowed 1 run. Bernard Cháves was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 14 of 16 save opportunities.
Brian Kingston, who finished 3rd in the BSA in triples with 13 in 2045, aided the Dallas cause with a solo home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Cozumel skipper Kel Meyer, "and it cost us."
With the win, Dallas pushed its record to 44-33.
