Hits Galore: Worley Drills 5 Hits
A jubilant Greg Worley joined the postgame press conference at Ray Fisher Stadium to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Stanford Cardinal pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Michigan Wolverines right fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led to the 13-9 Wolverines win.

"He made it look easy," said Jesús Muros, manager of the Cardinal. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Greg Worley hit a two-run double in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Freddy Wallace in the 5th and singled in the 7th.

To date this year, Worley is batting .289 with 11 home runs.
