Clements Batters South Carolina Big Time
Myles Clements of the Blue Devils was unstoppable in today's 15-3 victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks at Jack Coombs Field. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.

"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Duke second baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."

Myles Clements singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Howard Mathis in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Paul Robbins in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.

This year Clements is hitting .398, produced 44 RBIs and 14 home runs, scored 43 times and gotten on base at a .456 rate.
