St. Louis Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Gateway Stadium was host to some action-packed drama.
The St. Louis Browns defeated the Orlando Calrissian, 4-3, in Baseball Stars Association action at Gateway Stadium. St. Louis pitcher Mark Barber had a standout performance. The Browns raised their record to 7-1.
The Browns procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Alonso Acosta. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Both teams played hard," said St. Louis manager José Mora.
