Juan Ruíz of the Seton Hall Pirates humiliated the Washington State Cougars at Owen T. Carroll Field today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 6 hits.

"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Washington State manager Bill Sommer, after the game.

Ruíz whiffed 10 and walked 3 in the 7-0 win.

"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Ruíz said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."

This season Ruíz has worked 43 innings with 46 strikeouts en route to a 3-2 record and a 4.19 ERA.
