Cougars Beat Nashville, 4-3
The Nashville G-Strings and Fort Worth Cougars provided some drama for the home crowd.

Nashville got a terrific performance from pitcher Matt Mathieu, but it wasn't enough to beat the Fort Worth Cougars. Fort Worth won the Cougar Den contest, 4-3. Mathieu threw 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Fort Worth reliever Pedro Pagán picked up the win, raising his record to 4-3. Steve Neal was tagged with the loss.

The game came to an abrupt end with one out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Steve Neal, Cipriano Pérez hit a 2-run single. It gave Fort Worth the 4-3 win.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Pérez said.

With the win, Fort Worth upped its record to 49-44.
