Yordon Alcantara helped his team muscle past the Charm City Baysox, 9-5. In the game, the Maui designated hitter slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Denny Tomas, the winning pitcher, improved to 5-6. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 3 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 4. Louie Vroom converted his 10th save in 14 tries.

The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth when Alcantara hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Wave into the lead, 4-2.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Wave manager José Betancourt, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
