Dallas used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jorge Marino to down the Boston Rebels, 4-1. Marino, the winner, moves to 9-5. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. The win gives Dallas a season record of 52-43.
Brian Kingston made an early impact for Dallas when he stroked his 12th home run of the season. The solo home run, which came with no one out in the top of the third, put the Steers on top, 2-0.
