Green Sox Win, 6-2, Versus Seals

Though the conditions were not ideal, the Lubbock Green Sox and San Francisco Seals came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
Led by Nick Place, the Lubbock Green Sox downed the San Francisco Seals, 6-2. Place went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Green Sox. António Romero claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 2-0. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Edgardo Zúñiga.
With Lubbock leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Place hit a splitter from Juan Peña for a bases-clearing double. It was his 22nd double of the season and put the Green Sox ahead, 5-0.
"I felt good up there," said Place. "I saw the ball well."
The Green Sox have now won 4 straight.
