Bombers Prevail, as Top 8 Round Goes to the Wire
The Spring Valley HS Bombers and Broken Arrow HS Threshers didn't hold back anything in the Top 8 Round, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the Top 4 Round.

Spring Valley HS won the final game by a score of 6-3 at Threshers Ballpark and that concluded the series, 3-2.

"Relief is the biggest thing," Spring Valley HS left fielder Francis Stefanut said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Broken Arrow HS deserves credit for the hard fight."

Stefanut paced the Spring Valley HS offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .526 with a .524 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 10 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Spring Valley HS Bombers will play against the Saint Paul HS Ragin Cajuns in the next round. Saint Paul HS won their series against the Madawaska Valley HS Wolves 3 games to 2. The Top 4 Round schedule will be announced after the Top 8 Round finishes.
