Scorpions Heading to Round 2
The fans in Aberdeen are celebrating the Scorpions victory over the Surrey Sinners in the Round 1.

They defeated the Surrey Sinners 8-5 in the finale played at The Pleasure Dome to capture the series 4-1.

Francisco Núñes was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Scorpions first baseman batted .565, drove in 3 runs and scored 4 runs in the series.

"The Sinners are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Núñes said. "Everything at the plate seemed right."

The Aberdeen Scorpions will play against the Erie Jaxx in the next round. Erie won their series against the Minnesota Death Stars 4 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
