Thursday, October 5th , 2051
He may have less experience than most of his 24 & Under's peers, but that didn't slow Lonnie Lilly down at all in 2051.
At the age of 21, the Surrey left fielder has been named the winner of the National League Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .331 batting average and a .411 on-base percentage this year. In 119 games he piled up 152 hits, 31 doubles, 3 triples, 58 home runs, 156 RBIs and 112 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ánibal Trevino of the Aberdeen Scorpions finished second in voting, while Jon Curry of the Jasper Cougars finished third.
