Behind the bravura of right fielder Pedro Sánchez, the New York Knights topped the Fort Worth Cougars by the score of 9-7. Sánchez was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Knights. New York reliever Theron Koch was the winner. His record is now 5-5. The losing pitcher was Pedro Pagán. José Flores recorded the save for New York, his 2nd of the season.

Miguel Pérez's at-bat in the bottom of the fifth inning was a big one for New York. Coming to bat with no one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and New York trailing 4-2, the first baseman hit a run-scoring single.

"We take it day by day here," said Sánchez, "and today was a good one for us."

The Knights move to 50-49 with the win, while the Cougars drop to 42-56.
