Rebels Heading to Elite Eight
|
It took a while, but the Boston Rebels finally disposed of the Long Island Ducks 5-1 in the series clincher at The Ballpark at Sloss Furnace.
Winning the finale gave the Rebels the series, 3-2. They will now advance to the Elite Eight.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to Boston shortstop Ramón Aragón. He batted .375 in the series, collecting 4 RBIs and scoring 3 runs.
The Boston Rebels will play against the Irvine Gang Green in the next round. Irvine had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Elite Eight schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.
