Sheens Hammered by Sala, Drop Game 3 to 84's

The Greenville 84's moved to within one game of the Elite Eight today, downing the visiting St. Charles Sheens at Michigan & Trumbull by a score of 6-3. 84's shortstop Jermão Sala did some major damage. He went 2-3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win gives the 84's a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Wildcard Round.
Jasiel Briceno came through for Greenville with a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth. The designated hitter went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 runs batted in.
"We're happy," Sala told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Michigan & Trumbull in Greenville.
