Maui Win Evens Series at 1

The Maui Wave took down the St. Louis Browns by the score of 3-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Wildcard Round. The largest share of the credit belongs to Maui starter Eliot Hines, who threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ramón Enríquez? The 20-year old right fielder Enríquez stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Maui up, 3-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"My gosh almighty, Eliot was tremendous," said Maui manager José Betancourt.
Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Rainbow Stadium in Pukalani.
