Gang Green Even With Panthers After Extra-Innings Win
The Irvine Gang Green went the distance and then some at Prohibition Brewing Co Stadium today to drag themselves back into a tie with the Vista Panthers.

It took 10 innings to settle Game 2 of the Wildcard Round, but Irvine eventually took the 6-4 win behind the efforts of starting pitcher Salvador Ramos. Ramos threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball to aid the Irvine cause. The clubs are now tied 1-1 in their best-of-5 series.

Irvine needed the clutch hitting of Damon Strickland to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Gang Green on top, 6-4. For the game, Strickland had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Ramos.

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, October 7th , 2051 at The Ballpark at Irvine in Irvine.
