North Stars Heading to Final Four
|
The Minnesota North Stars bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a World Series championship.
Minnesota downed the Greenville 84's 8-3 tonight at Michigan & Trumbull, to take the Elite Eight 4-2.
"It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Alain Genty, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the Baseball Stars Association."
For the series, Genty had 8 hits for .364, with a .440 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 9 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Minnesota North Stars don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the St. Louis Browns - Nashville G-Strings series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Final Four schedule will be announced after the Elite Eight finishes.
