Browns Top G-Strings, 3-0, to Begin EE

Roberto Reyes and the St. Louis Browns opened the Elite Eight in brilliant fashion, traveling to Nashville and shutting out the host G-Strings at Gibson Guitar Park, 3-0, to secure an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Reyes, the Browns right-hander, threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball.
Reyes confounded Nashville hitters. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 3 hits.
"Roberto just settled in and did what he does," said St. Louis manager José Mora.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Gibson Guitar Park in Nashville.
