Not Done Yet: Nashville Win Late to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-1
|
Robinson López pitched well, but the Minnesota North Stars lost anyway, falling, 6-4, in extra innings to the Nashville G-Strings at The Kallipolis. With the win, Nashville closed their deficit in the best-of-7 Final Four to 3-1. López gave the North Stars 5.2 innings and allowed 3 runs.
Kevin McCord came through with a big-time hit for Nashville. The shortstop smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
McCord said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
Game 5 is scheduled for Sunday at Gibson Guitar Park in Nashville.
