Manchester Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
|
The Manchester Foxes have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Greenville 84's, winning 7-5 at The Fox Den today. Foxes shortstop Jessie Yoxall went 2 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Foxes to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Final Four.
Yoxall had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the sixth for the Foxes. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Manchester trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run triple.
"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Yoxall. "And vice-versa."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Fox Den in Manchester.
