Admirals Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 3-0
|
Riding the 4-hit performance of second baseman Adam Foster, the Seattle Admirals got a road win against the Kansas City Kings, 8-1, in Game 3 of the World Series. Foster went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 for the Admirals, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.
Seattle used a well-timed hit by Nap Delahanty to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Admirals ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Said losing manager Adrián León: "Give the Admirals credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Kings Ball Park in Kansas City.
