Alou Slugs Admirals to 10-4 Win
|
The Seattle Admirals beat the San Francisco Seals by a score of 10-4. Seattle left fielder Salvador Alou deserved the lion's share of the credit. Alou slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Admirals. The winner was Ramón López in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kevin Smith took the loss. The Admirals, now 10-1, have hit the ground running this season.
Alou contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Seattle get the win.
"I felt good up there," said Alou. "I saw the ball well."
