Admirals Earn 7-5 Win Versus Boston
|
The Seattle Admirals picked up a win at Rebels Park, knocking off the Boston Rebels, 7-5. Starting pitcher Victor Panzini played a key role in the triumph. Panzini, the winner, moves to 13-1. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 3 walks. Manuel Santos earned the save, his 12th, for the Admirals.
Seattle used the bat of Estanislau Gandarei to get the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Admirals ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"This team keeps racking up the wins," said Admirals manager José Guzmán.
Seattle goes to 72-30. The win puts them 18 games up in their division.
