Josh English impressed in the 6-3 Fort Worth win over Maui. English, who is a two-time All-Star, was 4-5 with 4 singles. Fort Worth reliever Mike Crawford picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Harry McGee absorbed the loss. Pat Bruce finished to wrap up his 25th save.

Fort Worth used a timely hit from Adam Daly to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cougars ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Daly attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
