Elite 8 Goes the Distance, Cincinnati Prevails
College Baseball fans were certainly not disappointed with this College Baseball Elite 8.

The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Cincinnati Bearcats prevailing over the Arizona Wildcats to advance to the Final Four.

Cincinnati won the final game by a score of 5-4 at Marge Schott Stadium and that sealed the series 2-1.

"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said center fielder Anastasio González, who earned MVP honors.

For the series, González hit .412 with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 1 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Final Four matchups and schedule will be announced after the Elite 8 finishes.
