Seals Fall Short at New York, 7-6
The New York Knights and San Francisco Seals obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

The New York Knights had to overcome a big game from San Francisco catcher Dan McLaughlin to leave Bronx Municipal Park with a victory. And they did, winning 7-6. McLaughlin went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Rodolfo Márquez. He is now 6-3. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings.

New York won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Don Spalton on the mound for San Francisco, center fielder Powell Lee hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Knights fans to their feet.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Lee.

The win puts New York at 42-68.
