Luchadores Stick Wave with 5-2 Loss
|
Getting offensive support from Anastasio Rivera, the Mexico City Luchadores topped the Maui Wave, 5-2. Rivera was 3-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Luchadores. Mexico City currently is in third place in the Water Division at 55-57.
Rivera contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Mexico City in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Rivera took a cutter from Alex Simpson and stroked the home run to left. His 20th home run of the season allowed the Luchadores to leap in front, 2-1.
Rivera attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
