The Nevada Noise have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Irvine Gang Green, winning 16-5 at The Ballpark at Irvine today. Noise center fielder Mauro Gonzáles was named player of the game after he was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 7 runs and scored once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Noise to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Round 2.

Nevada right fielder Joe Dunn delivered a 2-run single in the top of the first. Overall, he went 3 for 6, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 3.

Gang Green manager Bobby Jones did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the World Series."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Ballpark at Irvine in Irvine. Slated to start are Dennis Fairchild for the Nevada Noise and Cipriano Román for the the Irvine Gang Green.
